Calling all book lovers! Here are 10 types of book readers. I am a little bit of all of them! Which can you relate to?
1.) The Obligated Reader
This type of reader only reads when forced. Their favorite book is probably one of the only books that they actually read from the required reading list in school instead of just watching the movie or using sparknotes, which is most likely “The Catcher In The Rye”.
2.) The Hopeless Romantic
This reader’s repertoire revolves around Romantic Novels, Classics or/and Young Adult Contemporary. Their favorite author is probably Nicolas Sparks, John Green, Rainbow Rowell or Jane Austen. These type readers are always searching for their knight in shining armor or prince charming to rescue them from their ordinary lives. They also have a soft spot for poetry.
3.) The Supernatural Lover
This reader loves everything that is unnatural. Vampires? Obviously. Werewolves? Absolutely. Ghosts? Sure. Demons? No problem.
4.) The YA Fanatic
This reader loves adventure, especially if it is in another world or post-apocalyptic. Strong main characters are always empowering and some kick-ass fight scenes never hurt either. The star of these books are usually rebels and big brother is always the bad guy.
5.) The Comic Booker
Pow! The title says it all.
6.) The Self-Help and Endless Information Bookshelf
Need to learn more about a religion? There is a book for that. Want to lose weight? Here’s a book for that. What to learn a new language? There is most definitely a book for that.
7.) The Fantasy
FanDragons, wizards, giants and magic. Character development is a must and good vs. evil is the name of the game. All it takes is faith and trust… and something I forgot… pixie dust!
8.) The Inner Sherlock

9.) The Biography and Autobiography
HistorianTales of success, of triumph and of hardship help us to remember the past. Life lessons are sometimes better learned through someone else’s life story. Always remember that those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
